Lucy Wells

Biography

I moved to Lode with my husband in 2005 and immediately felt very welcome and part of a community. We have two children who attended Bottisham Primary School and then moved on to the Village College. I was a school governor at the primary school for 4 years during which time the school joined the Anglian Learning academy trust and welcomed a new headteacher. My professional life involves managing classical musicians and developing their careers worldwide. I am a member of the Ely Cathedral Octagon Singers and sing quite regularly for services in the Cathedral.

I always try to support village events and as a result have got to know a lot of people in Lode. I subscribe to the saying that ‘it takes a village to raise a child’, a phrase that I think perfectly sums up what Lode and Longmeadow offers across the generations.
